Junior Klub Na Chmelnici

Czech club, theatre, performance and concert venue in Prague 3, Žižkov. Also known and credited as “Chmelnice”. Established in 1980 by Lubomír Schmidtmajer, art directed by Karel Haloun. In the 1980s it was the most important stage for the alternative rock scene in Prague. Closed down in 1996. Later reopened as “Exit Chmelnice” which has eventually moved to a different location. Presently there is “Hudební klub Nová Chmelnice” (Music Club New Chmelnice) at the Koněvova 219 location.
