Philips Research Laboratories

Founded as a music research facility in 1956, Philips Research Laboratories was located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The Eindhoven studio for electronic music was moved to the Utrecht University in 1960 and renamed STEM. In 1967, STEM became the Instituut Voor Sonologie Der Rijksuniversiteit, Utrecht.
