Long standing plating and pressing plant on Long Island, New York that started in the early 1950s until it changed their name to Goldisc Recording Products, Inc. in 1975. Together with Monarch Record Mfg. Co., Allentown Record Co. Inc., and American Record Pressing Co., they were wholly owned subsidiaries of Viewlex, Inc. until 1976.

• Sometimes identifiable in the runout by the letters "SOL" or "-SO" or "SON" suffix and or the following matrix numbers (number sequence should be added to Pressed By LCCN field):

--- "S ####", "S-####", or "S####" (note: other pressing plants, including Rainbo Records, also utilized a sequential "S-####" to categorize its pressings).
• "16" printed on the labels of US releases issued by Mercury/Polydor/PolyGram and related labels.
• "18" printed on the labels of US K-Tel releases issued after 1974.
• "SO" printed on the labels of US Atlantic releases through 1973.
• "VSRP" printed on the labels of US Atlantic releases from 1973 to 1975.
[u]Post-1975 Releases And Pre-1975 Metalwork ('Mastered At' Sonic):[/u]
• When "SOL", "SO", or "SON" appears in the runout grooves of a release issued after ca. 1975, it often indicates that Sonic did not press the record, but instead made metal parts used to manufacture the record, which falls within the "Mastered At" role on release pages.
• When "SOL", "SO", or "SON" appears in the runout grooves of a release issued prior to ca. 1975 that was manufactured by another pressing plant, it often indicates that Sonic made metal parts used to manufacture the record.
• The presence of "GOL" in conjunction with any of the identifiers listed above indicates it was pressed by Goldisc Recording Products, Inc. sometime after ca. 1975 and that Sonic manufactured metal parts used to manufacture the record.
