ASC Sumet Studios was a recording studio in Dallas, Texas that was built by Ed Bernet and Marvin Montgomery. In 1997 Ed sold the studio to ASC Companies (formerly Altec Service Corp), who renamed the studio ASC Sumet Studios.
In 1997, ASC moved to Dallas and built their corporate complex around the historic recording studio and production facility. The studio was to serve as the core component for the ASC Entertainment Group, as ASC intended to expand into sound on film, score development and post production.
The studio was recently listed for sale and now seems to be permanently closed.
The studio was designed and built in 1969 (renovated in 1997) specifically for the recording and music studio industry. The studio complex had sand filled cinder block construction and included 5 recording studios with isolation booths and one of the largest clear span live-rooms with a 125 person orchestra capacity.
Studio Address: 7027 Twin Hills Avenue, Dallas, TX 75382
