Настоящее имя: RCA Records Pressing Plant, Smiths Falls, Ontario
Canadian RCA pressing plant. Construction on the site started in May 1953. Started pressing in December 1953, became fully operational in January 1954 and closed in April 1979.
Pressings (up to at least 1971) can be identified by the 2.75" diameter deep groove pressing ring. After 1971/1972 can be identified by a 1" pressing ring.
Pressings from this plant made around the 1970-72 period may have "AcR" or "ACR" etched in the runouts.
The TG or similar TX variations in the runouts are NOT a credit for this pressing plant, but indicate a lacquer cut at RCA Studios, Toronto; same with GM or variations which indicate lacquer cut at RCA Victor Studios, Montreal
Prior to Capitol Records Of Canada, Ltd. starting to use Compo's Cornwall, ON plant beginning in 1965, metal parts from Scranton (with anvil / lathe symbol if pre-1963, or 'IAM' in a triangle after) for conformed U.S. releases were frequently used for pressings by the RCA Smiths Falls, ON plant.
Connected to the 3 RCA plants in USA - RCA Records Pressing Plant, Hollywood, RCA Records Pressing Plant, Indianapolis, and RCA Records Pressing Plant, Rockaway.
