Parkhof

Live venue, located in Alkmaar, The Netherlands (now defunct). It was squatted end of the 70's. From 1980 they started to organise live concerts. It got well known within the punk- and hardcore scene. Bands like Nausea, D.O.A., Sore Throat, Boegies, Outrageous, Broken Bones, Negazione, Pennywise, Motorpsycho, Spermbirds, Lärm, Napalm Death, Rattus, Extreme Noise Terror, M.D.C., Poison Idea, Murphy's Law, Conflict, Heresy, Zero Boys, D.R.I., NOFX, Blitz, Dee Dee Ramone, Flag Of Democracy, Toxic Reasons, The Exploited, Subhumans, Misfits, G.B.H., amongst others played there. Also many other styles of music were covered, like metal (Messiah, Whiplash, The Accused etc.), hip hop (Osdorp Posse etc.), industrial and noise (Whitehouse, Militia, Brighter Death Now, Aube, Fckn Bstrds etc.), ska, reggae, breakcore and even smartlappen. (Hardcore) bands from Parkhof scene include C.K.N., Boycot, Zweetkutten, Humus, H.B.G., Pislarven, Betercore, Distress and many others.
