Formerly Bradley Recording Studios and before that, Bradley Film & Recording Studios (nicknamed the "Quonset Hut"), acquired by Columbia Records in early 1962 from original owner Owen Bradley for a reported $300,000. Initially known by the Bradley Recording Studios moniker in Columbia's first year of operation, before Bradley set up his Bradley's Barn studios in 1963.
Over the years the studio was expanded with the original studio being called Columbia Recording Studio "B" Nashville, Tennessee and the new studio named Studio "A".
Engineers at the studio included:
- Lou Bradley [LB],
- Charlie Bragg [CB],
- Selby Coffeen,
- Ronnie Dean,
- M.C. Rather,

- Jerry Watson [JMW].
The studio was also known for custom mastering jobs for a host of labels including Hit Records (4), Hickory Records, Monument, MGM Records, UNI Records, Mercury, and Stax (the last-named, in the 1968-69 period). Such lacquers were designated by the following codes (with 'B' signifying the old Bradley Recording Studios nomenclature):
- 12" 33⅓ RPM: XTBV (mono), XSBV (stereo, pre-c.1971), XSY (post-c.1971)
- 7" 33⅓ RPM: ZTBV (mono), ZSBV (stereo)
- 7" 45 RPM: ZTSB (mono), ZSSB (stereo)
The studios closed on June 30, 1982 and were then converted to office space. In recent years the space has become a hands-on educational facility for Belmont University.
