Настоящее имя: Annex Studios, Hollywood
A/K/A Annex Studios and Annex Studios, Los Angeles; a recording and mastering studio formerly known as the Radio Recorders Annex. Annex Studios was founded around 1965 by Radio Recorders staff engineer Thorne Nogar after purchasing it from its former parent firm. Annex was a top in-demand studio of the 1960's and '70's, with its most consistent client being Lawrence Welk and his stable of artists; the music for his long-running television show was pre-recorded at Annex for years. In addition, parts of Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66's album Look Around were recorded there.
In addition, Annex was famous for their lacquer mastering. Some of the labels for which Annex mastered included Uni Records, Dot Records, and Ranwood Records, Inc.; as well as early pressings of the single release of "The Way We Were" by Barbra Streisand. Among Annex's mastering staff was Fern Dorrell.
Annex remained in operation until about 1985. From January 1986 onwards, its location has been home to Record Plant, Los Angeles.
