Varla Records
Настоящее имя: Varla Records
Varla Records was a short-lived independent record label founded by partners Lori Montana and Danie Johnson. The label was intended to showcase artistic musical acts coming out New York City's East Village in the late 1980s. The label took a fair financial blow when a steam pipe malfunction damaged pressings of Frieda's "Disco Lover / Plastic Rap" single. Although they only put out two releases, the label's founders remained active in the East Village scene following the company's dissolution.
