Spanish record company founded in 1954 by musician Joaquín Alfonso Navas and lawyer José Ramón Batallal.
Belter, S.L. released primarily licensed recordings of Vanguard, Urania Records (3), Haydn Society and Bell Records on its label Belter.
As from 1956 the company phased its initial activity with the production of its own music recordings, specializing in dance-oriented music of that period and Spanish folk music. Also in 1956 Bernard Hilda (French jewish refugee since 1942) was signed by to supervised Belter initial production and with Bernard Hilda Y Su Orquesta (42 members orchestra) recorded several of his old numbers which were hits in Spain and also a good number of his American and European hits. Also in July 1956 was announced Belter recordings will be released in France by Versailles.
After a restructuring in 1962 Belter, S.L. would change its name to Discos Belter, S.A..
