Peter Pan Records
Настоящее имя: Peter Pan Records
Record label, specializing in music and story records geared towards children.
The label was created by brothers Daniel and Louis Kasen in 1948.
Originally a plastics manufacturing company, (Synthetic Plastics Company) that was founded in 1928, technological advances allowed the company to expand its repertoire to include products such as dice, poker chips, and other plastic-molded products.
Following World War II, Daniel Kasen discovered that his presses could be adapted to make phonograph records.
Peter Pan Records was spun off into its own entity, Peter Pan Industries, from the 1970s on.
Due to a decline in the sales of children's music, in the early 1980s, Peter Pan Industries branched into music releases not aimed at the children's market--such as releases from boogie/funk artists such as Maxine Singleton & Wandra.
During this time, the company also changed its name to PPI Entertainment of Newark, New Jersey, and established new label divisions and imprints, including Rohit International Records, a "budget" label that specialized in reggae.
PPI Entertainment Group changed its name yet again in the year 2004 to Inspired Studios, and is headed by Daniel’s son, Donald M. Kasen.
