CBS Direct

Canadian direct marketing division of CBS Records Canada Ltd. launched in 1979 as part of the Canadian CBS Special Products division. Releases were mass-marketed on TV and radio. Director of the label was Len Friedman (2), who is often credited on CBS Direct releases as a producer or developer. It changed names on January 1, 1991 to Sony Music Direct.
