Xing Records

Dutch record label which was originally founded in 2005 and focused on publishing dance/trance music on CD single and CD album formats. Dutch music retail was in serious decline already though and partly as a result of poor distribution through just the now defunct chain "The Music Store" and some independent record stores subsequent Xing Records' releases sold only a few copies after which the label was closed down by Xing International Holding B.V. (the parent company) in an attempt at plugging the black hole the music division had become. Stock was liquidated at below cost and no new contracts were signed after primary partners EsNtion Records, Inc. in the U.S. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2007. The label has been revived in 2014, but their focus regarding music has completely changed (pop / hip-hop / soul / trip-hop, etc.). President and CEO is Alex de Vries.
