Amalthea
Настоящее имя: Amalthea
Swedish label in the prog movement that was started in Malmö in 1977 by, among others, Dan Hylander, Arne Franck, Lars Åke Hjort, Tore Persson and Tore Sonesson. The record company was active for a long time on Möllevången, more specifically Ystadsgatan 22, together with Garderobsteatern, but in 1984 they moved to more fashionable premises on Hamngatan 4. Amalthea was bought in 1993 by MNW in Vaxholm.
Amalthea referred to in the record company's name is the ship Amalthea, which was blown up by Young Socialist activists in 1908 to house the strike breaker. This resulted in some of the last death sentences in Sweden, sentences which, however, were converted to life imprisonment.
