Danish label. Label Code: LC 82235 Egmont is a leading media group in the Nordic region. The group consists of a large number of companies and one of them is Egmont Nordisk Film a production company. Egmont is currently operating in 30 countries. Egmont started out as an one-man business and was founded by Danish typographer Egmont Harald Petersen in 1878. Originally called P. Petersens Bogtrykkeri, it became Gutenberghus printing company in 1914. After first entering the german speaking markets and then the UK the company expanded heavily in former eastern europe during the early 90’s. In the mid 80’s a close co-operation with Nordisk Film was started and when Gutenberghus acquired Nordisk Film in 1992 and at that time Gutenberghus changed its name to today’s Egmont. Egmont is a foundation and conducts both commercial and charitable activities. The media companies all operate commercially under the Egmont banner, while the foundation solely works with charitable activities for vulnerable children and youngsters.
