Настоящее имя: Sprängkullen, Göteborg
Sprängkullen was an all-activity house located at Sprängkullsgatan 19A in Gothenburg, Sweden and started in 1974. Besides Uppsala Musikforum it was one of the most famous venues in Swedish music movement. The two were the best known and also longest running music forums in Sweden. During their time, both were the largest cultural associations in their respective cities.
Sprängkullen was run as an association formally called "Ett Hus i Centrum" and had for several years more than 5000 members. The premises on Sprängkullsgatan were made available to the business after the protests that followed the closure of Hagahuset, Göteborg, which had long functioned as an all-activity house. Sprängkullen was an important gathering place for the music movement and later punk and many famous bands and musicians have played there. In addition to concerts, theater performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, lectures, debates and café activities were organized. The association "Ett Hus i Centrum" still exists, but the activities at Sprängkullen were closed down in 1986.
