Tagskægget

1967 to 1980 restaurant/venue in central Aarhus, Denmark. Sometimes named Jazzhus Tagskægget. Opened as a jazz club in October 1967 in Paradisgade. Moved to "Elvirasminde", a former chocolate factory in Klostergade 34 in 1969 and was the leading jazz club in town, billing such names as Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon and Stan Getz. In the late 70's also a punk venue, until new management took over in 1980 to turn it into a different venue. Under various names the place continued as venue/discoteque into the 00's.
