Edinburgh Odeon

Built in 1930 as cinema with the name "New Victoria". In the 1960's the building was refurbished and renamed to Odeon in April 1964. In the 1970's the stage was made deeper and the building was often used for live music shows such as The Clash or Joy Division. In 1982 the building was re-converted into a cinema only. The cinema closed in 2003. The music venue is commonly referred to as "Edinburgh Odeon".
