Butter Beats / One Eight Three is a small independent Australian record label and publishing house owned by Jason Dax Woodward. 183 focusses primarily on Hip Hop and Funk. Jason also owns Butter Beats Record Stores in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia. Butter Beats Record Store first opened in 1998. He also produced 7 issues of Blitzkrieg graffiti / Hip Hop magazine and also published books such as Born To Bomb Highlights From a Lowlife - Brisbane Graffiti 1985-1992, While The City Sleeps - Sydney Graffiti in the Eighties, Opening Sale - Handpainted Signs in Queensland. Jason is world famous graffiti artist CASINO and has painted trains in NYC, Berlin and Sydney. He had a radio show on 4ZZZ radio 102.1 FM playing funk and soul records for 6 years.
