Modern Tracks

CD-based DJ subscription service which operated out of Illinois between 1995 and 1998. CDs were mailed out 10th of each month and featured easy to read information like BPM's, intro and song time as well as cold/fade indicators. Modern Tracks structured their CD subscriptions around the following series: The Alternative Choice: Priority releases from modern rockers plus the industrial side of alternative. On The Radio: Priority releases of dance and hip hop in "clean" radio edit form. Dance Floor: Long versions of priority club releases for the "mixing" DJs. Street Style: Everything a Street DJ would have in his crate and more... on CD. The Flava: Extended versions of the freshest hip hop and the radio edits of the hot R&B hits - all "clean".
