ZEZ

Originally operating under BMG Victor Inc., in late 1992 this label became part of the newly formed joint venture BMG Rooms, Inc. Releases from before the reorganization had the catalog number prefix "BV", and releases from after the reorganization had the catalog number prefix "BM". Some "BV" releases from as early as 1990, which were still on sale during the reorganization, were re-released with "BM" catalog numbers, resulting in two variant versions. The "BM" versions listed the same printed release date as the "BV" versions, even though the "BM" versions must have been released in late 1992 or later. Then, in 1995, BMG Rooms became Rooms Records, Inc. Although ZEZ was replaced with Vermillion Records for new releases under Rooms Records, some existing ZEZ releases were re-released again under Rooms Records with the same "BM" catalog numbers (and even the same barcodes), resulting in a third variant version. These later "BM" versions still listed the same printed release date, even though they must have been released in 1995 or later.
