• A "PRC-C" or "PRC-W" etching will most often be found in the runout etching 'deadwax' of the vinyl. Note that any and all releases with "PRC" and "PRC-R" etchings do not belong here, but instead belong to the sister plant PRC Recording Company, Richmond, IN
• It may be depicted as "PW" in Atlantic label matrix and/or "(PR)CA" in an Atlantic runout.
* Many RSO releases have a "-CMP1-" matrix suffix without PR or PRC, but usually with the "26" on the label.

This plant was opened in August 1976 in conjunction with a west coast sales office in Hollywood, which opened in 1975. In May 1984, PRC president David Grant confirmed he was closing the plant by June. Production then shifted to PRC Recording Company, Richmond, IN with Compton's pressing equipment (7 SMT 7" presses and 20 Hamilton 12" presses, installed in 1979) auctioned off in July.
PRC Recording Company was legally registered as a D.B.A. (Doing Business As), registered to Richmond Recording Corporation. Filed in California via Delaware as a corporation in December 1975 under the parent company name.
