RCA Gala

Sublabel of RCA that was used in Canada and in Spain. In Canada, the RCA Gala label appeared around 1967 as successor of the previous RCA Victor's series Gala (4). It was discontinued after 1975. On some early releases both appear. Catalog numbers are of the form CGP-###, CGPS-###, CGPSX-###, KGL1-#### and KTL2-7### for LPs, G8S-#### and KTS2-7### for 8-tracks, GK-### for cassettes. In Spain the label appeared around 1979 and stopped after 1981. Catalog numbers are of the form CL-##### and NL-##### for LPs. Do not confuse with the previous RCA Victor's series Gala (4). Enter both if they appear on the release.
