Group holding company operating under this name since 9 April 2002, established and by Simon Fuller (2). (Formerly known as 19 Management Limited) from 18 July 1985 to 9 April 2002. The company / subsidiaries are represented on releases by the 19 logo / imprint. Principal activities - television and music production, licensing, sponsorship, merchandising, artist management, royalty collection from artists signed to their record labels. On 17 March 2005 the company was acquired by CKX, Inc, becoming part of the Core Media Group. Ownership was transferred from Core MG UK Holdings Ltd to Industrial Media Inc. on 14 December 2020. 19 Entertainment ultimately owns the Idols television format, with the majority of its revenue generated through production and licensing fees alongside their global television production and distribution partners Freemantlemedia and their principal global record label partners Sony Music Entertainment. Formerly a parent of 19 Management Limited, 19 Merchandising Limited, 19 Productions and Brilliant 19 Limited until Group restructuring for fiscal year 2020.
