Blank Records (2)
Настоящее имя: Blank Records (2)
A short-lived Mercury Records subsidiary founded by Cliff Burnstein (now better known for managing superstar acts like Metallica and Red Hot Chili Peppers) and managed by Peter Mensch. Blank was intended to chronicle the American punk scene of the late 1970s, but was closed down after only two releases, the influential debut albums by Pere Ubu and The Suicide Commandos. (The label also signed a third act, Bizarros, whose album was released on Mercury after Blank folded.) It had no direct relationship with the Misfits' Blank Records (11) label, but the band let Mercury use the name of their label (which was soon renamed Plan 9) in exchange for studio time.
