Sugarhill Studios

A recording studio and mastering facility that operated in Northern New Jersey from the late 1970s until 2002. For the Houston, Texas studio of the same name, please see Sugar Hill Studios. Initially founded by Joe Robinson, Sr. and his wife Sylvia Robinson during the 1960s as Soul Sound Studios, it was renamed to All Platinum Studios during the early 1970s. It subsequently changed its name again at the end of the 1970s to Sugarhill Studios and continued to operate under that name until 2002 when it ceased operations after a fire destroyed the facility.
