Ernie B's Reggae Distribution

This is not a record label. This was a mail-order and distribution company that bought finished products from record labels, artists and distributors and sold them to mail-order customers and record stores. The business was founded by Ernie Boetius in 1993 as Ernie B's Reggae, then incorporated in 2002 as Ernie B's Reggae Distribution, Inc. with Ernie Boetius serving as President (with 50% ownership) and Kirby Boetius as Vice President (with 50% ownership). Ernie sold his 50% ownership to Kirby in February 2015, and later in the year the name was changed to EBrecords, Inc. Kirby Boetius filed bankruptcy for the corporation in December, 2017. The reason this company is erroneously listed as a record label is probably from the confusion caused by having the Ernie B's Reggae logo on the back on many reggae releases. The logo was added as advertisement only. Ernie B's Reggae Distribution never released, licensed, manufactured or has anything to do with any product releases. It was simply a mail-order and distribution company.
