I.H.T.S.O.

I.H.T.S.O. was founded in Lübeck/ West Germany as the "International Hafler Trio Support Organisation" and was renamed in "International Hopeless Tunes Support Organisation" soon after. They ran a second hand record store and distributed tapes containing "hopeless" and traditional music. But the IHTSO did also spent attention to non-music or or even non-audio "hopeless" talents, such as Ottomar Zimmermann who deductes that pi is rational or Franz Gsellmann's Weltmaschine. They did also offer a organisation membership, where one did get a role such as an cenotaph or initiative-attendant. In the late eighties they had a strong affinity with the former DDR/ GDR concernig their diction and phrases. They wanted to support true and raw hopeless output and projects.
