AGI
Настоящее имя: AGI
Independent group / company located in Paris, France (EU), which was also known as Audio Graphic Industries. The group was created during the 70’s on an initiative of Jean Bergé, owner of the pressing company Disco France, in Saussay. It was including a printing company, and three vinyl records, cassettes and presses manufacturers, which were located at several different places in France, at this time. Then, each one of them were successively relocated in Saussay, during the company’s history. The group was finally renamed DFI during the middle of 1989, by Jérôme Berger. At this period, all the operations of pressing, printing and duplication, were already taking place in Saussay.
Please, do not list this company, as its role is still undefined at the moment !
More, this company has changed its own logo at the beginning of 1979 (see pictures), from a kind of illegible O0() (at a first sight, when found stamped on the run-out grooves), to a clear mint Δ (Delta) or ⩓ (A) symbol.
Please, do not enter these symbols or similar interpretations in the data of the B&OI fields ;
- but enter agi to interpret the ‘O0()’ marks (pre-1979 era) ;
- and [AGI logo] to interpret ‘Δ, ⩓, A’ logo (post-1978 era).
When these symbols can be found on the run-out grooves of the vinyl records, Pressed By Disco France can be listed, and a note can be added about AGI, to justify the identification. When it can be found moulded on the cassettes, Duplicated By Sono Tape can be added, under condition an ST logo can be found as well printed on the cassette or in the jacket ; or still, when Sono Tape can be found printed on the leaders of the magnetic tapes (What was still the case until 1984, but not always). After 1984, Duplicated By Disco France can be listed, still with a note about AGI to justify this identification.
