Defunct vinyl pressing plant built in 1979 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. The plant, formally known as Industrial Sonografica Venezolana C.A. was a subsidiary of the 1BC group of companies, owners of Distribuidora Sonografica C.A. By 1980, the plant moved into tape production too.
The plant had the most modern equipment at the time with 8 Alpha Toolex Automatic presses and Neumann cutting lathes and equipped with 16 more presses if necessary. Although not the largest disk factory in the country, originally had capacity for 4 million disks a year.
Vinyl pressing ended by mid 90s and Tape production by late 90s and ceased operations.
This plant used to press records for many label companies like Polydor S.A. (2), PolyGram Discos, S.A. and others.
