DCT Recorders
Настоящее имя: DCT Recorders
Hank Waring's mastering/recording studio opened in 1964. It became famous for mastering artists including [a98528], Buffalo Springfield, Iron Butterfly, Deep Purple & Three Dog Night (to name a few.) Around 1975 Hank changed the name to Quad Teck.
A DCT mastering can be identified by "DCT" in runout. Very rarely did the early Mastering Engineer add their initials. After Mike Reese moved to The Mastering Lab where engineers scribed their initials it became standard practice at DCT and every independent cutting facility in Hollywood. Many established their logo as a die to stamp the dead wax area of the master. And as the size of the independent cutting houses grew most began to add a letter or digit to identify on which lathe or in which studio the cutting was done. Pressing was outsourced to a third party company including Rainbo Records and Monarch Record Mfg. Co..
