Sepia Series

Decca's "Sepia Series" was launched in October 1940 with cat. nr. 8500 to feature what was then called "race music," that is, black artistry, musicians and performers. The Sepia name was dropped at the end of 1942 (around cat. nr. 8644), and the series was phased out in 1945 with cat. nr. 8673.
