Delta Recording Center (also credited as Delta Studio or Delta Recording Studios) was a recording studio in Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded November 23, 1965 by President John D. Maxson according to a photo from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper. Maxon also owned a stake in Spot Productions, Inc., a jingle production outfit. Maxson served as engineer as well. Other executives at the time were Vice President Robert L. Farris and Production Manager John A. Patterson. In 1969 studio bought by John Patterson (25). An ad from 1973 touted "⁵Ampex and Scully mono, two, four and EIGHT TRACK recorders. When you record at Delta you receive a custom service … from mastering and processing, to labels, album covers, cassettes and cartridges." By 1974, ownership had passed on to Rick Snow and Jim Shadle with Patterson remaining as chief engineer and leader of the in -house band.
