VRT is the Dutch speaking national Belgian radio & television station. Over the years it has changed it's name a few times. 1930: NIR (Nationaal Instituut voor de Radio-omroep) 1960: BRT (Belgische Radio & Televisie) 1991: BRTN (Belgische Radio & Televisie Nederlands) 1998: VRT (Vlaamse Radio & Televisieomroep)
