Quay Records (2)
Настоящее имя: Quay Records (2)
Record label from Stephanville, Newfoundland, Canada.
In 1976, five guys (Claude Caines, Neil Bishop, Claude House, Larry Toms & Max Toms) in Stephenville, Newfoundland, decided to apply for a government grant (for rural communities) to start their own recording company. Each put in a couple of thousand dollars and they were off to the races. Claude Caines and Neil Bishop ran the studio, Clode Sound Studios and its record company, Quay Records. Between 1976 and 1983 over fifteen albums and numerous 45s were recorded there. While bands like Figgy Duff had to travel off the island to record, others like the one's below, would travel from St. John's to record.
