MetroJazz was a jazz subsidiary of MGM active from late 1958 to mid 1960. 15 titles were released, most of which were available in stereo as well as mono.
Arnold Maxin at MGM brought in Leonard Feather, author of "The Encyclopedia Of Jazz", to head A&R at the label.
The MetroJazz label was orange/red with black print and the logo had the MGM lion inside the "o".
