Musikcafeen

Danish venue, a sub venue in Huset, Copenhagen started 1976 on the third floor. For the same named venue in Aarhus, please use Musikcafeen, Aarhus. Musikcafeen was the successor to Vizehuset placed in the front building from 1972 to 1976. Musikcafeen was together with Saltlageret a prominent scene in Copenhagen up till the early 90's, when Pumpehuset took over that role, but Musikcafeen is still active as a venue. Musikcafeen has been a venue for all genres, from progressive to jazz to punk. Many major international indie and punk bands have performed on this little venue, - to mention a few: Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cult, Radiohead and Disneyland After Dark.
