Italian record company founded on May 23, 1967 by Antonio Casetta.
From the beginning Belldisc Italiana acted as distributor of Liberty and its sub-labels in Italy (negotiations with Liberty Records were underway in January 1967; the distribution of the Liberty Records catalog in Italy started August 1st).
Belldisc Italiana was controlled by a Swiss-based organization (Belldisc International AG of Zurich), which also owned 50 per cent of Blueplast, a pressing plant in Milan.
Distributed:
- domestic labels: Bluebell Record, Belldisc Italiana, Mini Records (2), Hockey;
- foreign labels: Liberty, Canadian-American Records, ESP Disk, Blue Note, Pacific Jazz Records, World Pacific Records, Somerset, Hanna Barbera.
At the end of the decade Casetta carried out the project to unify the various labels under the umbrella of Produttori Associati.
