KB Hallen
Настоящее имя: KB Hallen
Sports and music arena in the Frederiksberg area of Copenhagen, Denmark, sometimes referred to as Kjøbenhavns Boldklub (KB) Hallen after it's owner, the football club KB (Kjøbenhavns Boldklub). It opened in 1938 as the largest privately owned sports facility center in Europe at the time. In the 50's it became gradually more and more used for concerts as sports clubs were very active in concerts and rock-n-roll was the new thing. As a concert hall the center hall had room for 3.000 persons. For that reason, on 4 June 1964, The Beatles held their only ever concert in Denmark here. Because of the buildings history and because of it's beautiful 30's architecture in the spring of 2011 it was taken under the preservation act. Less than six months later it almost burned to the ground. In November 2013 its status as cultural heritage was revoked. The arena was reconstructed and re-inaugurated on 5 December 2018. The new building houses a concert hall with room for 4900 spectators. On 24 January 2019 a 6 hours concert with Danish acts including Hugo Helmig, Katinka (3) and Anya (13) is planned to celebrate the re-opening.
