LAXmenn
Настоящее имя: LAXmenn
LAXmenn (legally registered as Laxmenn, Einkahlutafélög and shortened to Laxmenn, ehf.) is an independent Icelandic record label owned and founded by Quarashi member Sölvi Blöndal. The word is an Icelandic term for a type of fishermen, and roughly translates to "Salmon People" or "Salmon Men" in English. The word "Einkahlutafélög" is the equivalent to the "Proprietary Limited" company registration in English.
It is currently unknown how early the name "Laxmenn" was registered by Sölvi, but the earliest company records indicate to 1998. The company was however clearly credited as "LAX Records (2)" on early Quarashi releases, dating back to 1996; with the logo simply baring "LAX". The longer name, "LAXmenn", has been used on releases from 2011 on. In November 2015, LAXmenn re-issued Quarashi's entire back-catalog digitally.
