Supporti Fonografici was founded in 1984 as a record label by Carlo Villa and Peter Pestalozza (who died in 1995) specializing in new wave/dark/goth rock. Under the label were produced 17 discs of bands like Christian Death and Weimar Gesang. In 1985 was opened a tiny shop in Viale Coni Zugna, Milan always dedicated to the music and at the same time Carlo Villa became an editor of Rockerilla, italian magazine for which were interviewed many groups from Siouxsie & The Banshees to The Cure. In 1990, they expanded and opened store at the Porta Ticinese, 100, while growing larger media with the historical record of 500 copies of Nirvana sold. From 1998 on, things began to go wrong and after a slow agony in 2005, Deejay Choice of Rimini acquired the business but did not last long as they sold the license to the designers who take a bit 'of electronic music, but mainly they are a vintage store now.
