Ray Conniff - His Singers, Orchestra, Sound

German LP series in the late 1960's started by the German branch of CBS. It was introduced to bring the sound of Ray Conniff to Germany, by a series of issues and reissues for the German market. The series connected releases by different artist instances of Ray Conniff, including Ray Conniff And The Singers, Ray Conniff, His Singers, His Orchestra, His Sound and Ray Conniff & His Orchestra. The series was not marked by a logo, but had a characteristic brand of series# printed on back sleeve of the respective issue, a circle including the text "Folge [xx]", where [xx] is the respective number within the series. On a part of the issue, this numbering was printed only or additionally o the paper labels. There also existed a complete listing of series printed by CBS as an advertisement (see image section). It is subtitled by "Welterfolge auf [xx] Langspielplatten". One of the most striking details about this series is, that the series was, while being advertised, not mentioned properly on the releases. In most cases, only the cryptic circle with the series# can be found prominently on the release. Without further explanation, this circle is rather confusing, than some kind of information. During the lifetime of this series, there were quite more works of Ray Conniff being issued in Germany, which were not distributed in connection with this series. On the other hand, some issues do exist, which were released within this series and outside these series. The latter do not have any mark of the series included.
