Die Grossen Vier

This is a series, not a label. In the mid-seventies Polydor Germany created a series of singles in gatefold sleeves by popular artists. There were two singles in the sleeves with four hits by each artists. Inside the sleeves there is a big picture of the band or artist. > German artists have the cat.# 2606 xxx > international artists have the cat.# 2607 xxx (The cat.# starting with 2136 or 2137 on the records are cat.# of the respective discs. They should not be noted in LCCN, but can be used as identifyer in BAOI-section) There are 2 logos: Die Grossen Vier (Image 1) Die Vier Grossen Hits (Image 2) Additionally to that logo, the sleeves are branded with "2 x 2" (twice two hits).
