Bloque Editorial Dearmas

Media group based in Caracas, Venezuela. It is made up of newspapers, magazines, a TV channel, publishers and distributors of publications and school textbooks; as well as a network of bookstores. The publishing group was formed in 1947 by businessman Armando de Armas. In 1960, Editorial América was created to publish Spanish versions of magazines belonging to the Hearst Corporation. In 1962 they bought the rights to Cuban magazine Bohemia.
