Label created and owned by The Rolling Stones. The label was launched in 1971, when the Rolling Stones signed with the Kinney group. It was distributed in the U.S. by ATCO. In the rest of the world it was distributed by Kinney's affiliated companies (WEA) until 1978 and by EMI afterwards. The first Rolling Stones release on this label was the "Sticky Fingers" LP. Other artists that had releases on Rolling Stones Records include Peter Tosh and Bill Wyman. Since 1984, it is used exclusively for releases by the band, including reissues.
