Chiesa Di Sant'Andrea, Carasso
Настоящее имя: Chiesa Di Sant'Andrea, Carasso
Catholic church dedicated to Sant'Andrea located in Carasso (Bellinzona), Canton Ticino, Switzerland.
The church is a late Baroque building. The church was built in Romanesque style before 1285, when it was mentioned as the church of the locality of Corte Sotto. In the early 16th century, the church was destroyed and rebuilt in its present Baroque form, but in the 18th century it was further modified, as evidenced by the year 1735 noted on the portal. In the 20th and 21st centuries, it was restored twice: first in the 1980s, then in 2004.
The 1983 restoration included artistic contributions by Ivo Soldini (altar, ambo, baptismal font).
The Kuhn organ, inaugurated in 1984 by the Parisian organist Gaston Litaize, is valuable. For more than a decade, the church hosted an international organ festival, with the participation of performers such as Jean Guillou, Guy Bovet, Piet Kee and Harald Vogel.
