Southampton Guildhall

The Guildhall originally opened in 1937 as the town hall for Southampton, England. It features a large and unique pipe organ which was built in at the time of original construction.
After World War II the hall was used for a variety of classical, jazz and pop concerts.
In the seventies rock bands started being booked into the 1700 seat hall.
The hall was refurbished in 1989.
In February 2003 Live Nation took over management and booking of the club.
In October 2013, the venue was renamed the O2 Guildhall Southampton, after Live Nation UK and O2 Telefónica formed a partnership.
