For unofficial releases, see Josie (2) Josie was a subsidiary of Jubilee Records in New York and was active from 1954 through to 1971. Single records were numbered from 760 through to 1031. Josie began as a doo-wop label in the mid 1950s, morphed into a soul label in the early 1960s, and was releasing hard funk by the end of the 1960s.
