Ratinger Hof

Former legendary punk-club in Düsseldorf. Anciently a normal inn it was taken over in 1974 by Carmen Knoebel and Ingrid Kohlhöfer. At first a hang-out for artists surrounding the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf like Blinki Palermo, Sigmar Polke, Joseph Beuys, Katharina Sieverding and Imi Knoebel. After a complete modification of the interior decoration in 1977 the Ratinger Hof became soon a breeding ground for the German punk-scene. The club rose bands like Charley's Girls, Male, Mittagspause, Der KFC, Minus Delta T, S.Y.P.H., Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft and ZK (2) Carmen Knoebel left the Ratinger Hof in March 1979.
