Fat Beats Amsterdam

A Dutch subsidiary of Fat Beats in New York City, Fat Beats Amsterdam opened in 1996. Owned by Joe Abajian, Ryan Sikorskiand and Ricardo Wijngaarde, and operated by DJ's Clyde, SP, Mr. Wix, Edzon and Craig Solo. A hip-hop clothing and record store, with a recording studio in the back, occasionally releasing limited edition mixtapes, A staple in the Dutch hip-hop scene, the store ran into financial difficulties, and in 2007 were forced to shut down, after a little over a decade in existence.
